Historical Background

The interest in information stems from the extent of its importance in the development and advancement of peoples. Therefore, the computer was considered as a communication tool that performs a distinct function in the ease of transmitting, preserving, and distributing information in various fields. International experience says that the underdeveloped people today did not enter the industrial revolution or that they entered it recently, while the underdeveloped peoples tomorrow are the ones that did not enter the information revolution to this day and did not keep pace with the technological development accompanying this technical revolution. And based on the keenness of the university administration to catch up with the advanced world and provide its contribution to the advancement of society, the Faculty of Information Technology was established in 2006 AD, where the main focus is on information technology and to be the nucleus to provide solutions and assistance to local and international institutions.
